Business Development Position

Baker Renewable Energy (BRE), the region’s fastest growing clean energy provider, is seeking eager and assertive individuals looking to work in a fast paced, fast growing team environment for the following position:

Business Development

Baker Renewable Energy is seeking experienced Renewable Energy Sales Professionals for our Raleigh office to create and implement strategies and tactics to develop new clients, close contracts, and develop Residential and Commercial segments of the market. Experience with Renewable Energy projects and services as well as a proven track record over at least 3 years in complex and strategic sales is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead generation and pipeline development
  • Maintaining and expanding existing client relationships
  • Performing customer needs and opportunity assessments and mappings
  • Developing and presenting customer-focused sales presentations
  • Understanding and accessing available solar energy incentives applicable to prospective projects
  • Working with marketing on development downstream promotional opportunities with key accounts
  • Provide a feedback loop into marketing for future product development
  • After-Sale account management leading to future orders

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful B2B, complex sales experience required
  • Demonstrated ‘consultative’ selling experience
  • Proven ability to manage projects under deadline with multiple internal resources
  • Experience managing or selling to multiple stakeholders on the customer side
  • Solar PV experience and knowledge preferred, but not required
  • Ability to quickly learn the technical aspects of solar PV systems required
  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Understanding and presenting financial analysis to customers (ROI, IRR, NPV, APR, etc.)
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills required
